Fundamentals of ITS and Traffic Management

This is a full semester graduate level program that is offered for Continuing Education Units (CEU*). It has been designed to give students a complete picture of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems). The program goes beyond the awareness level in each subject area but is not designed to make students an expert in any one topic.

It is bundled into 11 modules, each addressing a different aspect of ITS. Modules include:

Module 2: Transportation Management
Module 3: The Tools of ATMS
Module 4: Incident and Emergency Management
Module 5: Introduction to Telecommunications Technology
Module 6: Fundamentals of Database Management Systems
Module 7: Interoperability: ITS System Architecture and Standards
Module 8: Corridor Management
Module 9: Dynamic Route Guidance and In-vehicle Systems
Module 10: Traffic Signal Timing
Module 11: Managing High Technology Projects in Transportation

Length: This is a full semester course that runs for 15 weeks.

Available: Fall (September-December) - Spring (February-May)

Cost: $950
