Course Material Review
Friday, October 4 – Thursday, November 6, 2008
Students are advised to review Lessons 1 - 3 of the course material which is labeled as “Curriculum.”
Friday, November 7 – Thursday, November 20, 2008
Students are advised to review Lessons 4 - 6 of the course material which is labeled as “Curriculum.”
Friday, November 21 – Thursday, December 4, 2008
Students are advised to review Lessons 7 - 8 of the course material which is labeled as “Curriculum.”
Conference Calls
Thursday, October 30, 2008, 1:00 - 1:30 PM (ET)
The instructor will introduce the course and let students know what will be expected from them. Students will be able to ask questions about upcoming course workshops and any course material that has been reviewed to date. Dial-in information will be posted
Tuesday, November 11, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)
If students have any questions about the course material reviewed to date or the class workshops, they should submit them to the instructor via e-mail by 9:00 AM (ET) on this date. The instructor will answer them during the conference call and will also discuss Class Workshops # 1 & 2. Dial-in information will be posted .
Tuesday, December 9, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)
If students have any questions about the course material reviewed to date or the class workshops, they should submit them to the instructor via e-mail by 9:00 AM (ET) on this date. The instructor will answer them during the conference call and will also discuss Class Workshop # 3 & 4. Dial-in information will be posted.
Class Workshops
NOTE: Students will receive a grade for the workshops only if they post their answers in the appropriate forum and respond to at least three other student submittals by the dates indicated.
Class Workshops # 1 & 2
By 11:55 PM (ET) on Saturday, November 8, 2008, students will post their answer to the workshops in the “Forums” section. By 11:55 PM (ET) on Monday, November 10, 2008, students will review other student submittals and comments on at least three of them. Answers to the workshops will be discussed during the conference call on November 11, 2008.
Class Workshops # 3 & 4
By 11:55 PM (ET) on Saturday, December 6, 2008, students will post their answer to the workshops in the “Forums” section. By 11:55 PM (ET) on Monday, December 8, 2008, students will review other student submittals and comments on at least three of them. Answers to the workshops will be discussed during the conference call on December 9, 2008.
Final Exam
Tuesday, December 9 – Friday, December 12, 2008
The final exam will be available in ATutor from 2:30 PM (ET) on Tuesday, December 9 through 11:55 PM (ET), Friday, December 12, 2008. Students will complete the final exam on-line. In order to receive a course certificate, students must also complete the online course evaluation. Final grades will be posted in ATutor on Monday, December 15, 2008.
Course Grades
Grades for the course will be determined by student participation in the following items and will be weighted as shown below. Students must obtain a 70% or better to pass the course and receive a certificate.
