Course Material Review

Friday, May 2 – Thursday, May 15, 2008
Students are advised to review Lessons 1-2 of the course material.  The link to the course material is found on the right side of the screen under Content Navigation in ATutor.   

Friday, May 16 – Thursday, May 29, 2008
Students are recommended to review Lessons 3-4 of the course material. 

Friday, May 30 – Thursday, June 12, 2008
Students are recommended to review Lessons 5-6 of the course material. 

Conference Calls

Friday, May 2, 2008, 1:00 -1:30 PM (ET)
Conference Call with Instructor – The instructor will introduce the course and let students know what will be expected from them.  Students will be able to ask questions about course format, upcoming group activities, etc. Dial-in information will be posted in ATutor.

Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)
Conference call with the instructor.  If students have any questions about the course material reviewed to date, they should submit them to the instructor via e-mail by 9:00 AM the day of the call.  The instructor will answer them during the conference call and will also discuss Group Activities 1 and 2.  Group Activity #3 will be previewed.  Dial-in information will be posted in ATutor.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)
Conference call with the instructor.  If students have any questions about the course material reviewed to date, they should submit them to the instructor via e-mail by 9:00 AM the day of the call.  The instructor will answer them during the conference call and will also discuss Group Activity #3 and Group Activity #4 will be previewed.  Dial-in information will be posted in ATutor.

Group Activities

Group Activity #1 – This Group Activity is found in Lesson 2, page 10.

• Saturday, May 10, 2008 - Students are to post their answer to this activity in the “Forums” section in ATutor by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date.  Students would post under either the “ITS Forum Activity 1” or “Safety Forum Activity 1.”
• Monday, May 12, 2008 – Students are to review other student submittals (under the opposite forum than you posted) and ask questions to at least three of them by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date. 
• Wednesday, May 14, 2008 - Students should review questions submitted to them from other students and respond to at least three of them by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date.  
• Grading - Students will receive a grade for this workshop only if they post their answers to the “Forums” section in ATutor and respond to at least three other student submittals by the above dates. 
• This Group Activity will be discussed during the second conference call.

Group Activity #2 – This Group Activity is found in Lesson 2, page 33.

• Sunday, May 18, 2008 - Students are to post their answer to this activity in the “Forums” section in ATutor by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date.  Students would post under “Shared Forum Activity 2.”
• Tuesday, May 20, 2008 – The instructor will post the prioritized list of Safety Priority Areas by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date. 
• This Group Activity will be discussed during the second conference call.

Group Activity #3 – This Group Activity is found in Lesson 4, page 22.

• Saturday, May 31, 2008 - Students are to post their answer to this activity in the “Forums” section in ATutor by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date.  Students would post under “Shared Forum Activity 3.”

• Tuesday, June 17, 2008 - Students should review questions submitted to them from other students and respond to at least three of them by 11:55 PM (ET) on this date. 
• Grading - Students will receive a grade for this workshop only if they post their answers to the “Forums” section in ATutor and respond to at least three other student submittals by the above dates. 
• This Group Activity will be discussed during the forth conference call.

Final Exam

Wednesday, June 18 – Monday, June 23, 2008
The final exam will be available through ATutor beginning at 2:30 PM (ET) on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 through 11:55 PM (ET), Monday, June 23, 2008.  Students will complete the final exam on-line through ATutor.  In order to receive their course certificate, students will also be required to complete the course evaluation also on-line through ATutor.  Final grades will be posted in ATutor on Tuesday, June 24, 2008.

Course Grades

Grades for the course will be determined by student participation in the following items and will be weighted as shown below. Students must obtain a 70% or better to pass the course and receive a certificate.
