Students are advised to review Lessons 1 - 3 of the course material which is labeled as “Curriculum.”
Friday, October 3 – Thursday, October 16, 2008
Students are recommended to review Lessons 4 - 6 of the course material which is labeled as “Curriculum.”
Conference Calls
Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 1:00 – 2:00 PM (ET)
The instructor will introduce the course and let students know what will be expected from them. Students will be able to ask questions about upcoming course workshops and any course material that has been reviewed to date. Dial-in information will be posted
Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)
If students have any questions about the course material reviewed to date or the class workshop, they should submit them to the instructor via e-mail by 9:00 AM (ET) on this date. The instructor will answer them during the conference call and will also discuss Class Workshop # 1. Dial-in information will be posted .
Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 1:00 – 2:30 PM (ET)

Class Workshops
NOTE: Students will receive a grade for the workshops only if they post their answers in the appropriate forum and respond to at least three other student submittals by the dates indicated.
Class Workshop #1
By 11:55 PM (ET) on Saturday, October 4, 2008, students will post their answer to this workshop in the “Forums” section. By 11:55 PM (ET) on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, students will review other student submittals and comments on at least three of them. Answers to this workshop will be discussed during the conference call on October 8, 2008.
Class Workshop #2
By 11:55 PM (ET) on Saturday, October 18, 2008, students will post their answer to this workshop in the “Forums” section. By 11:55 PM (ET) on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, students will review other student submittals and comments on at least three of them. Answers to this workshop will be discussed during the conference call on October 22, 2008.
Final Exam
Wednesday, October 22 – Monday, October 27, 2008
The final exam will be available in ATutor from 2:30 PM (ET) on Wednesday, October 22 through 11:55 PM (ET), Monday, October 27, 2008. Students will complete the final exam on-line. In order to receive a course certificate, students must also complete the online course evaluation. Final grades will be posted in ATutor on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
Course Grades
Grades for the course will be determined by student participation in the following items and will be weighted as shown below. Students must obtain a 70% or better to pass the course and receive a certificate.
